Dormant Energy was created in the space of an hour with a Chinese brush attached to a bamboo pole. The previously folded sheets were placed flat on the floor, where the creases were immediately and quickly marked with ink. The sheets were refolded and lined up carefully but in random order for binding with twisted paper thread. The whole sheaf of paper was then rolled and twisted for viewing.
